Recovery Console won't install

i've tried using gosh trick to make the cd copy to HD and installing recovery console,

and its just ain't working :( i'm not getting this little screen that says "now installing recovery

console bla bla bla"


Please post exactly what you are doing. What command you are using, at what point you are installing the console, etc.

Exactly, it wont work because your using Winnt32.exe and that's not a native dos file, you have to open Winnt.exe to install from a dos partition, unless your running WinPE, BartPE or the like first to install it. HTH.

Is the latest Service Pack slip-streamed?

What other hotfixes are you having installed?

Have you tried to save space on CD by deleting the unnecessary folders in I386?
