I was wondering what kind of Java IDE's you Java developers are using. I know the market pretty well, but I was just wondering if I could get some recommendations from actual people, not the promotional companies.

P.S. if you are going to suggest NotePad, don't. I know it is wonderful and I use it quite often. I mean real IDE's developed specifically for Java.

Well, if you want to move it, go ahead, but I figured Software - a Java IDE is software. I didn't want to interrupt the conversations of the dev guys.

Hello

I have used NetBeans 3.6, Eclipse and JBuilder6.0 -9.0

The best i tried it JBuilder 9 but it´s too expensive. NetBeans is quite good and it's free so i recommend NetBeans you can download it from Java.Sun.Com or from Netbeans.org :thumbup

i use netbeans and really like it. my only real gripe is with the gui layout part of it. something about how it handles default minimumSize maximumSize and preferredSize settings end up causing some serious headaches for me. anyway, other than that it's great and free.

NetBeans
