I have completed all the the customization and applications i want installed... and i have purchased 20 XP OEM COA stickers from ebay... however i do not have an OEM version of windows. To be able to use these COA licenses, i need an OEM version of windows... my question is... is it legal to buy the OEM version of XP on a cdr? Since im going to hack it up and produce my own installation on a cdr, and since i already have the licenses... this should be legal right?Please only answer if you are certain of the answer... im not really looking for speculation, but rather 'fact' from people who know more about MS licensing than me.TIA Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

peachy Posted August 16, 2004 Share Posted August 16, 2004 I would assume if you got your hands on an OEM copy of a CD (borrow perhaps?) you would be fine as long as you didn't activate it with that specific product key.
