sbyers77
I'm sorry if this is a painfully obvious question to some of you, but how do you go about testing your unattended drivers? I've been using Virtual PC to test my unattended install disk, but I don't know how to get say ATI drivers installed while windows is loading because the virtual machine uses a "VM Additions S3 Trio32/64" video card, and not a 9800 pro as in the host computer.Should Virtual PC be using the same hardware as the hose computer and my installs are wrong, or how else should I go about testing without reformatting my computer? SiMoNsAyS
simply use an utility like partition magic, resize your HD and boot from DOS, for example if the new unit it's D:, then install XP on that unit. there are many freeware partition utilities, search in google
Bâshrat the Sneaky
And perhaps it's also a good idea to use a bootmanager, so you don't have to edit your boot.ini all the time!
prathapml
Testing your drivers _is_ a bit painful if you're only testing on a Vitual Machine (VM). But you can still integrate the VM's drivers and test it that way. Your real hardware drivers will only be tested once you do it on a real machine - only then you get to find out errors with the real drivers, if any. Nothing really, which can be done about it.Try using a CD-RW for your uA testing, and a different partition, than your currently occupied one.
