Access Violation At Address

Access violation at address 004807DA in module 'Restorator.exe'. Read of address 01DF1052

I get the above when i try to save an altered file. Just started recently.

2 questions: What is an acess violation in English, and how do I fix it?

Do you have some 'skin' program installed called RESTORATOR? If so, uninstalling should fix it. The problem usually occurs when an application tries to "access" some data - but the data is no longer where the application remembered it to be. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the description. Restorator is a res hacker. I got that error when trying to save an altered file. Whatever caused it, went away. Works fine now.

Again, thanks.
