Hey, im using Zone Alarm 5.1, and for some reason, when Windows XP (Professional) boots, evidently svchost.exe is asking for server rights. I know about some of this program's uses, but was unaware of why it would need to act as a server. Everytime I deny it the ability, nothing acts wierd, so I wondered if anyone else could enlighten me upon my situation...

Actually, no... I don't think svchost needs those rights.

There was a virus that replaced svchost and the new svchost acted as a central hub over the network to spread the virus.

Maybe check your computer...
