MCT
if its saying setup is starting windows & freezing, this COULD be a harddrive prob, cuz at that stage its checking for previously installed windows i believe& the bootscreen thing could be a kernel prob (ntoskrnl)
Alanoll
if its saying setup is starting windows & freezing, this COULD be a harddrive prob, cuz at that stage its checking for previously installed windows i believeIt could be either, harddrive error, or a related thing such as driver error. Sometimes the driver gets corrupt for some reason, or you added a SATA/RAID/ATA driver, and forgot to update the file after adding entries to txtsetup.sif

RealCato
I had the same after slipstreaming SP2...What I did:- restore i386\SVCPACK.IN_ (i deleted svcpack.inf because i didn't need any hotfixes anymore, but I thought maybe windows needed a 'default' one..)- disable regtweaks in RunOnceEx.cmd (at the moment I'm trying to get these in again)Maybe any of the above works?
