Synapse Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 while browsing my computer i noticed a file named "readme.txt" had blue lettering.... I've seen this before, but though it was system files only that did this...anyone know how too turn off this blue lettering or make files with blue lettering?
Synapse Posted August 11, 2004 Author Posted August 11, 2004 It just means it is compressed...i've seen the blue lettering on folders mainly the C:\Windows\$NtUninstall$ ones *hidden protected system folders* and just got curious.was hoping there was a method for doing this too any file... Example.. when you rename a file and name it like "\#0000FF TEXT HERE" and that would create a blue texted icon with the name TEXT HERE... oh well, one can wish
SiMoNsAyS Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 rightclic on a non-blue text file, then properties>advanced options, here check compress and accept all the windows. look for the text, it had become blue?
