i want to use my own profile!

hi, my pc was an stand alone on my room till yesterday i brought another pc and made it a domain-controller and wanted to join my own pc to the domain everything is perfect except one thing , and that is my profile.

i want my current profile on my client to be used on my domain.

the way was to make the profile directory share and make a new user on the dc and roam it to the shared folder but for some reason i can not.and of course the COPY TO button in computer properties/advanced/user profile is not working too.

any suggestion?

You need to research 'Roaming profiles' to do what you want...

You seem to have a little knowledge of it, but I think the stored profile must be stored on the actual server or whichever computer has the Active Directory. Otherwise... it won't work.

I've set-up roaming profiles before, but I've never had an issue... always a simple process.
