XPCREATE for Japanese version

Hello,

I found XPCREATE.CMD doesn't support Japanese version XP/2K/ or 3K.

So, please modify XPCREATE.CMD at GETLANG subroutine, like :

IF /I "%TESTLANG%"=="Japanese" SET WINLANG=JAP& GOTO GOTLANG

Yes, the i386\prodspec.ini definds the Localization as "Japanese".

Thanx for the reminder but it has already been stated here. But it's inside the forum maze so I think it'll be a good reminder for the other Jap WinXP XPCREATE users.

By the way, do you get an error when installing the XPCREATED WinXP cd to your computer? The error for me most likely occurs when the GUI portion of the installation starts. Hows it going for you? Hope to here from you.

Indeed, that is slated for the next release. Just for fun ... could you cut and paste the text portion of your PRODSPEC.INI file? (Sorry, Vel Straty, I cannot remember if you already did that.)

I use XPCREATE for creating OEM driver slipstreaming. I have Rioworks HDAMC

mobo, and failed to install 3K because the OEM driver (SI3114) was not installed

from FD. Don't know why, I tried almost everything like :

memory change

older or the latest driver

single or dual Opteron 244

all the same. That was my start point and I finally found this forum.

The original XPCREATE.cmd didn't work for me then I hacked it myself.

(I didn't check your articles at that time) Also I didn't care XPCTHLIST.txt

because I don't care Hotfixes at all. I focused OEM driver only.

Now I could successfully slipstream OEM driver to 3K CD, and it works for me.

I can try XP Japanese with Hotfixes, with your XPCTHLIST.txt.

Then I can tell you how does it work.

Hi adeu!

Despite of how the others who are working as coorporate warriors in the Japanese society, many of my friends only get a day off during the summer time excluding Saturdays and Sundays, you get a whole 2 weeks+ vacation time! I guess where you work is a good place that can give you a time to relax and forget about work! We all need our healing time! Hope you had a great vacation!

Anyway, I haven't updated the XPC list since the SP2 is soon to be released as I hope so people who are using the JP editions of WindowsXP should wait a little more for the XPC list to be updated.

I, too, am waiting for the Japenese SP2: I think it will simplify things for all of you. And I, too, am still of on "vacation", and don't feel a bit guilty of streching the european standard 5 weeks a bit!
