Hey,

i was wondering if lets say you did a clean install of Windows 2000, would you be getting all the updates since the beginning if you only install Service Pack 3, or would you have to install all of them..

like does one service pack cover for the previous ones as well..

never been sure of this, so i thought i'd ask :)

Thanks,

Each successive SP includes all the fixes from previous SP's. So, if you have Win2K 'gold' installed from CD - then have installed SP1 and SP2. Now, you want to do a clean install of gold and add SP3. You now have gold +SP1 +SP2 +SP3.

cheers
