Which is best modifing with xpcreate , first use nlite then xpcreate with the xp source or use xpcreate then use nlite?

should I use nlite to put XP1a into xp pro first or let xpcreate do it? or does it make a difference which program does it?

Only use XPCREATE on an original, non-modified source, e.g. a Windows Distribution CD with the Microsoft hologram.

original, non-modified source sure it is that not my question , both programs modified it as whats your point ? ok if its the original source with xpcreate then nlite will work after right because it keeps it original right? I never said the source was not original , its just that both programs can modified it at the same time right?

What I'm getting at is simple:XPCREATE needs a CD to start with. This CD must be an Original Microsoft Windows CD. The one with the Microsoft Hologram on it. I don't know how any program could modify this, as it is read-only media.

GreenMachine i have tested your program with an nlited xpcd no hotfixes added, and you program ran fine will double check when i have time.

But if you make and nlite iso, and then use isobuster to extrat the iso to a folder called xpcd and then direct the program to that folder, it should down load the hot fixes just fine. use Virtual pc or vmware to test hope this has helped

Maybe it works fine, maybe it doesn't, and maybe it just appears to work. However, the bottom line remains that I do not support it, and am not interested in debugging it.

This is not because I do not believe in nLite, as I have the utmost respect for nuhi and his product, but simply because I do not have the time nor desire to understand all the intricacies of a program I did not write, I do not use, and for which I do not have the source code. Use nLite first if you desire, but please do not post here if it does not produce the desired results ....

you how it is theres a lot of new guys, and i was one of them. that feel these programs can do every thing and they cant. they need to understand that testing just once or twice is not really testing. iIf you are getting errors please i ask that you try to test more than once or twice and use virtual pc or vmware . im not saying that new guys and girls dont know what there doing just take your time.with any of the programs or reg tweaks you use or any other idea's posted on here.
