doc_ufo Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 Hi have a problem here...when i use my unattended cd, the setup screen to partition and install os will automatically startup...anyway i can do the normal startup like when it boot from cd after first installion it will show "Press any key to start from CD..."??

e9325 Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 I've got the same problem:normally when you switch on your computer with the windows XP CD in the CD-ROM drive, it asks "press a key to boot from CD", and if you press a key it boots from the CD, else it starts the system normally.I modified something to test, and now, the computer boots on the CD everytime, without asking me to press a key.and of course I don't remember what I modified to activate this option
jdoe Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 @e9325You probably removed a file called "BOOTFIX.BIN" that is supposed to be in \I386 folder.I'm not 100% sure but I think it's this one
