  1. I don't know if it will totally solve your problem but this should help: delete the "/" before "REBOOT=Suppress"

I've got the same problem: normally when you switch on your computer with the windows XP CD in the CD-ROM drive, it asks "press a key to boot from CD", and if you press a key it boots from the CD, else it starts the system normally. I modified something to test, and now, the computer boots on the CD everytime, without asking me to press a key. and of course I don't remember what I modified to activate this option
  4. I found a way to solve this problem... In fact, when you launch the setup normally (without silent options), you can see the list of files it copies in windows/system32. then you just have to install the runtimes pack normally, then to copy all the files of the list from c:\windows\system32 to the folder from where you're launching the speedup application. It should work And of course you don't need to put the vb runtimes installer program into the runonceex.cmd
