RBCC Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 I tried the /Q switch like program's decription said when I entered in the /? but it still went into a non silent install, how do I install this silently??John
prathapml Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 OK, there's 2 things to consider here:1. Windows Movie Maker 2 is only installable on WinXP.2. WinXP's SP2 is coming out today or tomorrow, and contains the WMM2.So, abandon trying to do anything with the WMM2 stand-alone installer, and slip-stream SP2 into your Windows XP install source. Go here for the "how to slip-stream" guide.
Aaron Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 It has to be extracted first so you can get to the msi file. See: http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/applications/moviemaker2.htm
prathapml Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 Yes, you need to extract the .NET framework (downloadable executable) using winrar (or anything else), and you'll find some files contained within. Have the entire folder, and when you install, use the .MSI with the "/QB" switch. Here's where the above process is mentioned : .NET FrameworkStart from the beginning by having a look at MSFN's official unattended guide here, if the process is too complicated.
big poppa pump Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 Please search the forums. There are several posts on installing Windows Media Player. In fact there is one on the main page itself.
prathapml Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 How about Windows Media Player 9?that is integrated into XPSP2 as well!
