bisco2k Posted August 4, 2004 Share Posted August 4, 2004 Wonder if anyone has came across this problem b4.i got thief deadly shadows today and it wont work in my computer, it installs ok and done a video card test it passed ok, but when i try to play the game it locks the computer and hides the mouse. i read its something to do with my sound card and directx, ive tried using 2 diffrent cards still no luck.if anyone has experianced this and been able to fix it could you please let me know how to do it...thanx Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

prathapml Posted August 4, 2004 Share Posted August 4, 2004 It looks like you've solved your question, but still, this answer is there for those with similar queries:Most of the newer games want a directX 8 (or higher) compatible sound-card, and almost all sound-chipsets released after 2002 support it.
