Philster Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 I have my Windows XP files copied to my hard disk so I can begin to develop my Uattended installation.I would like to know how I can reduce this in size?I assume the $OEM$ and i386 directories are the important ones. But what about the other files and directories? Which ones can I safely delete?ThanksPhil
Lost Soul Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 go here http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/space_saving_tips.htmyou can saftly delete whats on that page and save up to 159mb but if you want to drop it down more try nlite or josh's method or jdblockhope that helps you out
Philster Posted August 2, 2004 Author Posted August 2, 2004 Excellent, just what I was after. Thanks fellaPhil
big_gie Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 You could also compress your drivers and expand them a @ t-39. I saved ~70Mb like this!
