Alanoll Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 there is one created.NEWFILES\LOGFILES.CABas for the updates not installing.....wow....if it were just the ones that are new, but wow. Most of those should have been included.Attach the CAB file, and hopefully we'll be able to help ya more
rikai Posted August 2, 2004 Author Posted August 2, 2004 i dont know ow i missed that when looking earlier, i looked specifically for that directory.Anyways, there it is...Thats the main reason i even posted a topic, i wouldnt have posted anytihng if it were just the june updates, or something i hadnt seen installing. LOGFILES.CAB
Alanoll Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 you're using XPISO.ISO right?I didn't see any problems in the log. Only thing I can think of is that it's installing from the CD you started with, and not the generated ISO. Just make sure of your settings.
rikai Posted August 2, 2004 Author Posted August 2, 2004 oy. so im browsing my hard drive jsut ow, and low and behold, i find a second copy of xpiso.iso...i'm assuming that THIS one may be diffrent, a its larger... which emans i probably jsut wasted everyones time... sorry.on a side note, so this wouldnt have been a completly pointless thread, know any good freeware iso editors, i want to get this back under 700mb before i test it.
Alanoll Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 well, it'd be best if you just recreate the ISO. Remove whatever you want.....and download the CDimage pack from unattended.msfn.org finalizing section. It will recreate teh ISO from the files on harddrive. (it uses the same program XPCREATE uses to make the ISO as well, CDIMAGE.EXE)
GreenMachine Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 Looks like you found the problem, rikai. If not, post back.I do not use any ISO editors, as I don't really see the reason. I prefer to create each ISO individually, as Alanoll suggests. The time factor is minimal, and it certainly seems to be a "cleaner" solution.
