Bâshrat the Sneaky Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 I've had the same problem First turn off simple file sharing (explorer > extra > folder options > view)Now right click the folder you want to access and go to the tab "Sharing". Below on this page click "Advanced" and now you have to choose permissions to allow your current user to access all these files/folders.That's all!greetz Bâshrat the Sneaky
BlasterPQ Posted August 1, 2004 Author Posted August 1, 2004 thanks Sneaky for trying but it was a no go:(i disables simple filesharing and then when i went to share the folder i got the following
jrzycrim Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 Right click on the folder, select properties, go to the Security Tab (simple file sharing must be disabled), Click Add, Enter the user name you are currently logged on with or administrator if you are logged onto the administrator account, Click okay, check full control, click ok. You should be able to access the folder. If you are using XP home, you might need to do this in safe mode. I can't recall...
jrzycrim Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 If that fails, then these instructions may prove useful:http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;308421
