majiktripp Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 Hey all, Ive used nlite to reduce WinXP,Win2kPro,and Win2kAdv and i was then going to use WinCDMan tool to make the 3 in 1 iso but unfortuately this didnt work and having read the Making Boot DVD guide on flyakite.msfnhosting.com it didnt help as the guide doesnt support nlite reduced installations. The problem i have really is the boot menu, i can put all the files on the cd image myself using MagicISO but the boot image i had made using WinCDMan wont work for nlite reduced versions so i hope someone can help me! thanks for any input.
Alanoll Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 what do you mean nlite reduced installation? as long as you didn't remove Manual Support, it will still work.
Famer Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 i dont know if Alanoll will agree with this but you should make your aio cd frist then use nlite since the files are mostly the same there should not be a problem. for wincdman if you can find the boot file it uses and replace it with the one from nlite and all should be fine.hope this helps you to get it going
majiktripp Posted July 31, 2004 Author Posted July 31, 2004 Im at my witsend now, thanks for the info but still no go,i have made an image of the cd and tested it under MS Virtual PC but the only thing thats stopping it from working is the boot file which ijust cant get right, the one from WinCDMan doesnt work right an its wreckin my head.Has anyone else made a 3 in 1 with 2KPro 2KAdv and XP,pass on your boot file please!!!
