Is your txtsetup.sif and setupldr.bin unmodified from the original?

Also, bartPE maker is not able to make a winPE from XP SP2 install sources. You'll have to use XP SP1 or Windows Server 2003.

They are not modified.........straight off the CD to the HDD......

so are you saying i can't run bartPE from a 2000 pro workstation?

No, I suppose bartPE can run on a win2kPro OS.

But if you were trying to make a winPE using a win2k CD - that is not possible.

What I said was, you can only use a XP SP1 (or non-SP/RTM) or Windows Server 2003 CD to make a winPE - but it should be able to *RUN* on a win2k machine.

Thats right.

- Then you have to click on "Next >".

- You must not copy the contents of your original Windows CD-ROM to the HD

- If you CD-ROM drive is D:\ click on "..." and select D:\ (NOT D:\I386) as the "Path to Windows Installation files"

- Click on "Next >"

Now PE Builder should find the setupldr.bin.
