The best is Defragmenter Pro Plus. it fast, safe and user friendly

yes, check your cables... I had similar problems but all were resolved after buying new ones.

how did you get to a conclusion its h.d problem?

and by the way the best defrager is winternals enterprise defrag(can be ripped to stanalone:)

faster then anything on the market

@Sparky1, a utility from maxtor, Powermax. works from DOS and i don't like that type of applications, they are not fully compatible with SATA drives.

@Marsden i don't want to hand down M$. i'm still looking for a 3rd party app

@teigns, best defragmenter... ok, i'll take a look, but what i need it's "the best bad sectors scanner"

@tomdekoning, note taked, i'll try to change my cable with the other one that comes with the mobo.

@turbomcp, dunno if it's a hd problem but i want to erase posibilities of hangs

also i'll check for winternals enterprise defrag but i need a 3rd party scandisk
