MCT Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 do u mean via reg file?if so..[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\wpa\CXGDDGP2B2RKWWDHG3HYVDJ7J]that will work, if its a key & the key name is in the aforementioned path
chee Posted July 22, 2004 Author Posted July 22, 2004 that's it!i can't delete them. their contents contain ProductID and DigitalProductID and all the contents of the three keys are the same with this one:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\WPA\Key-G4XTBRDJMGP7G4WJTJK48being the intrinsic, those different were added by myself!i wanted to delete the unwanted ones!that's my intention!one more question:i was trying to install printer hp3500 series, but the system couldn't be able to complete the installation. moreover,i found in "device maneger" "PnP BIOs extension" was disabled and tried to reinstall it, but failed given the message:the file was damaged!before doing this i'd completely removed Daemon tools from the pc.is PnP BIOs extension related to the incapability to install a printer?thanks!

MCT Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 is PnP BIOs extension related to the incapability to install a printer?i dont think soabout your original problem, try deleting the file in safe mode or maybe booting 2 a 98floppy disk 2 go 2 command prompt
DarkPhoenix Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 @MCT - That won't work unless you're not using NTFS (and who's not using NTFS, eh? )
jrzycrim Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 Another option is to use the recovery console.http://www.wown.com/j_helmig/wxprcons.htm

jrzycrim Posted July 24, 2004 Posted July 24, 2004 You can't use the recovery console to edit the registry. Bartpe might be an alternative to consider. This registry key can't be deleted from within regedit?
