Bundling Royale theme with XP

Hey guys...i'm wondering if its possible to pre-bundle the Royale theme with the XP install...does anyone know of any tutorials about bundling themes or has anyone done it that could point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Simple solution: just throw them in your unattend XPcd

It should look like this.

change the wallpaper to whatever u like

save whats in the code above in a file named Royale.theme, make sure its not royale.theme.txt , and save it in resources folder.

add this in winnt.sif

There is a post in MSFN from which i have picked up all this, dont quite remember where, do a search for it.

Sorry, but the theme already has an *.theme file !!

Well, the one i downloaded...

When he puts it in the dir's i gave him before its copied over during install.

IF he wants it to apply it through the WINNT.sif file he can just add the one provided with the theme.

Secondly, youre right that should edit the .theme file if he wants another DEFAULT background.

But in my opinion that was not wat he asked... he just wanted to bundle it.

(You can always correct me if i'm wrong, so we don't have hard feelings )

use style builder and import the winxp style, then add the royale style to it. or do what i do, is to download a few and import them all into one theme.

I just tried adding the Royale theme with a selected background in my .theme file. But after installing windows it installs the theme without the background. Is there something I'm missing here.

there is more to than that. there some posts that go into more w/ the background but i dont worry about it much cause i am like changing mine all the time any way. i never could get it to work by just changing it in the .theme file.

I just tried something else that applies to this idea.

Apply the theme and wallpaper just the way you want them, then go to display properties.

Click on the Themes tab, and from the drop down menu choose my current theme. and just click Save As on the right and windows just made yout .theme file for you

or course, you may have to change the .theme file a bit manually. to get it the way you want it.

or, to let your wallpaper be the default, remove this line from the script above:.

Wallpaper.MUI=@themeui.dll,-2036

that sets the stupid bliss wallpaper as defult

HI! I am searching for a themes folder but cant find it... on my windows installation there ist one but there is no one in the files i copied from my cd!
