how to extract Messenger

How can i extract DLsetup.exe (messenger 6.2) to an msi version? I tried it with winzip & winrar but they don't recognize it.

make sure u dont have a corrupted file, i also use winrar and works every time great....

i use powerarchiver, but its all the same & it works

WinZip works, too.

However, if all failed, run SetupDl.exe manually and stop at the first setup screen.

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\, and look for the most recent folder there. It could be named IXP000.TMP or similar.

There, you'll find the two files:

- MsnMsgs.msi

- bootstrap.exe

Do: setupdl.exe /t:c:\temp /c

And msnmsgs.msi should appear in c:\temp\ folder

The way Mazin explained worked perfectly well for me and then installed by using

<installfrompath>\MsnMsgs.msi /QN

Registered and then exported those generated keys, (lots of), and now need to try again and see they will save me abit more time.
