i followed the path on my registry, but there are only the selected applications and not the unselected ones.

my goal is to delete from the list the unselected applications.

msconfig stores the disabled startup items in these keys:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupreg]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupfolder]

Delete any sub-keys that correspond to programs that you do not want listed in msconfig.

GREAT!

Thanks a lot! Just wondering if there's a tool on the net which make this stuff...do you know anything about that? :)

i'm looking for a tool not too hard to use who can work onto the registry and does these things:

for example who can edit and remove these unused apps from msconfig.exe and another feature i'd like to find is to edit the ADD/REMOVE voices (for example sometimes some apps doesn't uninstall completely and leave their name onto the menu)

No problem.

You know what? I had a free program on my computer that I forgot about. It has lots of features including editing the startup program list and add/remove programs.

You should be careful with some settings. It does have a backup feature incase a change doesn't work or causes problems.

Edit: There are literally thousands of settings so some things may be hard to find at first.

If you decide to use this program, Startup programs are under Startup/Shutdown > Startup > Win NT/2k/XP > Auto Run part 1/Part 2

The uninstall program list is under System > Software Installation > Uninstall

You can even set favorites to immediately go to any particular setting.
