MoonPie2000 Posted June 18, 2004 Posted June 18, 2004 I keep the below error when donwloading sp1a. Also my understanding is that the only diffrence between sp1 and sp1a is the omission of the JVM machine. If this is true and I have a copy of sp1 what would be the best way to include it instead of sp1a in a build?-- 17:23:39 --> Source not up to date. Need Service Pack.-- 17:23:39 --> Cannot find SP SPACKS\XPSP1A_EN_X86.EXE.-- 17:23:39 --> Downloading Service Pack. The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.
GreenMachine Posted June 18, 2004 Posted June 18, 2004 I just ran XPCREATE from scratch, and do not get that error.LOGFILES.CAB. It is small, the only personal information that is may contain is directory structure, and it stands a much better chance at helping me see the light than a few lines or screen output. In XPCREATE.INI, you can set DLAUTO=NO, and then use any files you choose. Once SP1 (or SP1A) is slipstreamed, it will not be downloaded or slipstreamed a second time.
MoonPie2000 Posted June 19, 2004 Author Posted June 19, 2004 How do i genreate or where do i find this file? I do not see it? Do i need to set something in the ini file to get it to generate?
Virindi Posted June 19, 2004 Posted June 19, 2004 Don't be lazy. If we are talking about a problem you are having with XPCREATE, perhaps you should look in the XPCREATE folder for LOGFILES.CAB before asking someone else to find it for you?I'm pretty sure Windows XP has a Start -> Search -> For Files or Folders function as well...-V
MoonPie2000 Posted June 19, 2004 Author Posted June 19, 2004 How about we not assume, because we all now what it means to assume, that someone has been 'lazy'. Obvously you are not lazy because you apperantly expend a lot of energy making post like this so you can bolster your ego. Is this what your therapist encourages you to do when you are feeling inferior?
