WMP Hotfixes problem ANY IDEAS?

Ok i have three hotfixes that wont work:

KB828026 - Critical Update for WMP Script Commands

819639 - Flaw in WMP may allow media library access

KB837272 - Update for WMP 9 Series

Attached is my xpcreate log. Any ideas.....

According to your logs:

"After optimization, (cd) image file is 4129363968 bytes" (about 400 mb?)

You ran nlite on the source, didn'tcha? That filesize is a little small for "original" XP source. heh. I bet if you used xpCreate on fresh source, it would not have a problem. nLite does not play well with others.

Nope no nlite. Just a copy of MCE without the upgrade and language folders. I use a dvd i have no reason for making anything smaller.

Problem solved. Those hotfixes will not slipstream when you forget to install wmp9 DONT.....

I don't recognize the source, and I wonder about the file WINBETA on the root of the CD. What exactly is an MCE CD?

All missing updates are WMP updates. Did WMP 9 get installled? You also have DLAUTO set to NO, so XPCREATE is not verifying the hotfix checksums. You are, of course, sure they are the right files?

Lastly, you are running an outdated version that has a bug in the SATA drivers code (SATA not added to CD).

So ... download the latest version, remove all the files in the FILESCD directory (for now), give it a run, and let me know ...

The file LOGFILES.CAB is simply a copy of the XPCREATE.LOG file in compressed form - save yourself a step in zipping.

EDIT:: Looks like WMP was the culprit ...
