sp2 and new nvidia drivers?

Featured Replies

well yes or no I wouldn't use the included drivers because they don't contain the nvidia tools. so u are not going to have to toolbar thus won't be able to change settings..

I mean its probably going to be updated but i wouldn't use them if I were playing games otherwise use them..

Version 56.73

A bit higher than the official ones at nvidia, but lower than the two unofficial betas that can be found elsewhere on the net.

56.73 is supplied by MS and does not include any extra tools.

official nvidia released version is 56.72

this .01 difference I'd say is a misspelling :)

I've 60.72 for the record..

Ah, cool, ic, thx! :)

Well, I asked b/c I planned to slipstream (drivers.cab etc.) the nvidia drivers into my unattendend XP-CD. And obviously that makes sense cuz the ones included by MS SP2 don't bring the desired tools as u remarked.

It may be a .01 difference, but it's not a mispelling.

The drivers that come with SP2 (2144) are newer (slightly) than the official ones.

Probably not much difference, practically speaking.

I've installed 61.40 and I can see a bit of a difference when playing UT2K4. Lots of nice, but small, visual tweaks.
