ajdegans Posted June 12, 2004 Share Posted June 12, 2004 Hi there i am admin of a server and cannot access some files which i need to backup!when i select properties of that particular map or file there is no user defined not even an admin.... how can i solve this ? i really really need a sollution!Anyone can help plz my server:-------------win2k pro sp4disk quota's for 3 users: each 700mb space, that files need to be moved or copied!For most files there are no rights specified it seems! how do i set user rights on that? i cant click add.... kenedy Posted June 18, 2004 Share Posted June 18, 2004 Try adding your administrator account to Backup Operators group.Backup Operators can backup files even if they have no permissions to that files.If it works, restore files to FAT32 partition. Then you will have access to them.Also run this command from command prompt and post results here:"cacls filename" (filename = file that you can't access) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
