HyDeNCiTy
I just upgraded a 98 machine to XP Pro. But every once in a while, the XP help window pops us with an error, saying it can't be displayed... It seems to pop up randomly but mostly when I'm makin or trying to make system changes, like installing something. Has anyone seen this before?? Thanx in advance. Bâshrat the Sneaky
HUH??? Windows has apparently an unknown feature: when incorrectly (?) installed, pop ups for free

MCT
can u give a screenshot? alsoturn off "Messenger" service (this has nothing 2 do with MSN or Windows Messenger) goto services.msc (type that in run) then double click "Messenger" and for starup type, disable it, that will prevent alot of popups (if thats what your sayin is popping up)good luck
HyDeNCiTy
I should further explain..It's not popups that I am getting.. It's the Help window that pops up saying that it can't be displayed. You know when you hit F1 to pull up the the help window? It's the same window but where there should be content, there is an error saying that it can't be displayed. Here's the screenshotError

Bâshrat the Sneaky
Did you disable any components in your winnt.sif? And are you sure you didn't accidentally delete some files?
