DTS56
Hi everybody,I have built a multi-boot cd with ERD on it and thought it would be good to have my bart cd added. No probs adding bart to the cd.The multi boot cd boots boot with no problem and it boots into the bart environment with no probs but some of the progs I have added to Bart do not run. most importantly Nero does not run from the bart environment on the multi-boot cd but it works ok from the original Bart CD.Any ideas or help would be much appreciated. Many thanks,DTS56
ArmyDoc
Weird problem... Off the top of my head: how many CD-DVD drives do you have? If just the one then you may want to try and run BartPE from memory (with the /inram option) to avoid problems with disc swapping? Also, have you checked that all the necessary plugin files are on the multiboot CD\DVD?What command do you use to launch/run BartPE?ArmyDoc
DTS56
Hi There ArmyDoc,Wow, I didn't expect to get such a quick reply - just checked on the off chance.Anyway to answer your queries:Yes all the files are on the cd.I have 2 cd drives, but no probs with swapping cds as it all fits comfortably onto the one cd.I am using cdshell and the command I use to start Bart is chain.Although I am fairly new to this multiboot cd stuff, I have to agree that it's a very weird problem. If you need any more info just ask.Regards,DTS56

Programs folder must be in the root.I had a similar problem & was just a matter of rebuilding it over again.
DTS56
Hi Maverick,Thanks for your suggestion.I tried it, creating a multiboot cd with only Bart on it.I tried doing this using both the Bart iso and the original Bart cd even down to extracting the boot files from each.Unfortunately this didn't work. When you had this problem was that only some of the progs wouldn't work or was it that none of the progs would work.In my case, it is only that some of the progs don't work.Any other ideas?Please.Regards,DTS56
MAVERICKS CHOICE
Yes mine gave the shell & some programs. Maybe you could post your Dir structure. I also made mine from scratch & compiled with CD image.
DTS56
Interesting that something as simple as remaking the cd worked. Here is my Dir structureAIO-3 (Root of cd) Boot ) BPE1 ) Folders Programs ) BPE1.DAT ) MENU.BAT ) WIN51 ) Files WIN51IP ) WIN51IP.SP1 ) WIN.BOM )Is this what you wanted?Regards,DTS56

MAVERICKS CHOICE
Structure of BPE1 folder as followsFolders in BPE1FONTSINFPROFILESSYSTEMSYSTEM32WINXSFiles in BPE1_DEFAULTBIOSINFO.INFEXPLORER.EXENTDETECT.COMOB1.INISETUPLDR.BINSPCMDCOM.SYSSYSTEM.INITXTSETUP.SIFWIN.INIWINBOM.INIdoes this help?Regards,DTS56Compared to my layout you appear to have quite a few files missing?Basically everything from your original Bart PE must be in the root of BPE1 including all the files from the bart I386 folder as well. I also put the cd ident files in the root & the BPE1. Hope that helps
ArmyDoc
Hmmm, I'm assuming WinxS is a typo?Take a look at my screenshot - 2 remarks: 1. discard the BartPE folder at the bottom - it's my PEBuilder folder. 2. discard the two files with the .ram extension, they're used for loading /inram.As you can see, I don't have the identifiers in the BPE1 folder, and this setup works flawlessly...You did copy all the files, including the hidden ones, did you? Alanoll is working at flyakites guide to include a BartPE section (any word yet on a due date, Alanoll?), check that to see if you've missed anything, or check this if you can read French.bart.zip
MAVERICKS CHOICE
Yeah well I read somewhere to include the cd ident in both. But it doesn't really matter as CDimage takes care of that at any rate. But Armydoc Im sure your Screen shot will do the trick.

Alanoll
due date: When I finish it? lol. I built a test yesterday. Just experimenting, so I know what I'm writing about....If I don't do something with my girlfriend tonight, I'll work on it, but I'm sure you guys honestly don't think you take precedence of her do you? Stupid question, which would you rather do? Do something outside of the house with your girlfriend, or sit in front of the computer?
ArmyDoc
The fact that I'm even replying should tell you something - but that's a discussion for another forum, me thinks... Boss-man and wife-woman aren't always too happy tho, so I can relate .
