Change computer name thru DOS

My computer name got changed then shut down. When I boot it back up it comes to the welcome screen with no users because it doesn't have any set up with the new computer name. I can't get in the system or safe mode. Is there a way to change the computer name through DOS?

Perhaps there's another possibility:

A) boot with windows cd and choose for the repair option

B)

1. boot with partition magic and create another partition

2. create another partition, WITHOUT overwriting anything

3. install windows to this partition

4. boot the new windows and copy all your documents etc.

Man, I hope you didn't follow Bashrats advice...

All you have to do is hit Ctrl+Alt+Del twice at the logon screen. You'll get the old style Win2k logon and can log in as administrator.
