Issues installing ATI Catalyst driver 4.5 silently

Featured Replies

I tried to follow the guide from MSFN, http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/applications/installshield.htm, and create a .iss file for the catalyst drivers. However, after installing it using wxp-w2k-catalyst-8-01-040421a-015419c.exe -R in command prompt, the .iss file didn't appear in "C:\Windows". Am I doing anything wrong? Is there another method to install the catalyst driver silently?

Hey guys, I just extracted the files from the main catalyst file and initiated the setup.exe -R in the command prompt. I found the setup.iss file in the c:\windows folder. However, I'm not sure if it's the right one. I opened the .iss file with notepad and this is what I got:

[installShield Silent]

Is this right?

yes thats it, I checked and you must have a

aiw card or need wdm. I can't get it to install

silently even from GuiRunOnce and a batch.

I install last because it throws a reboot screen.

good luck
