Win2K3 crashes when loading drvmain.sdb

Hi everybody.

I have a problem trying to install an Adaptec ATA RAID 2400A into a HP ProLiant server running Windows 2003 server Enterprise Edition. The server crashes after the progress bar. It seems to be a blue screen (it appears for a microsecond). After that it reboots. When trying to boot into safe mode, I saw that it crashes when loading drvmain.sdb. Does anyone have a clue?

recoveryconsole -> fixBoot -> fixMbr

will sometimes work
