Mr.Garrison Posted May 25, 2004 Posted May 25, 2004 Ok there is this little (common) problem I have; Whenever I want to do a clean XP install on my SATA WD Raptor it won't find it just cause there is no driver on the cd that supports my SATA controller (SIL 3112 I believe). If I want to, I must install the drivers by pressing F6 (or maybe F2) before the install loads the drivers. Now here comes the problem: I don't have any floppy installed and I refuse to install one again just cause the whole hardware market is so god **** conservative and can't include USB-stick support or anything like that.I thought the solution might be an unattended XP cd and I've just read about the $OEM$\Textmode directory. Please give me some help on this one cause I'm dying to crack this nut.

Mr.Garrison Posted May 25, 2004 Author Posted May 25, 2004 Man I'm used to getting p***ed on people who don't search the forums I'm on, but this time I made that mistake myself. Right after I had posted this message I saw that there was an unattended driver section too...

[BM]Crusher Posted May 26, 2004 Posted May 26, 2004 there is a specific package which might suit you better, called the raid drivers package or similar, do a forum search for that...it adds a whole bunch or raid drivers into your disk automatically, including 4 different silicon image controllers (including SI3112a of course)
