dazkrlauwste Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 I've noticed that whenever u integrate XP SP1a with a Windows XP distribution, the option to install .Net Framework has appeared in the 'perform additional task' section of windows setup. So what's up with this?
GreenMachine Posted May 24, 2004 Posted May 24, 2004 Exactly where is this "perform additional task" section? Which "Windows Setup" do you mean?
dazkrlauwste Posted May 25, 2004 Author Posted May 25, 2004 U know, When u start the setup.exe file in u'r windows xp root, U get the blue screen with a number of options, 4 I believe.- Install Windows xp- Install optional windows components- Perform additional tasks- check system compatibility
sleepnmojo Posted May 25, 2004 Posted May 25, 2004 The SP1 cds have a DOTNETFX folder on them. When you click on the option from autorun, it would install from that folder. A slip stream won't add this folder, you would have to do it manually.
dazkrlauwste Posted May 25, 2004 Author Posted May 25, 2004 So isn't there a way to delete that option or something?
GreenMachine Posted May 25, 2004 Posted May 25, 2004 Perhaps change the setup.exe with one from the RTM version? I've never seen tat option from a slipstreamed CD ...
