Probz with reg entry

Featured Replies

Oki, so here it is... trying to run a vbscript from the RunOnce entry off the registry to add a .pac file for customizing Internet Explorer (AutoConfigURL)...

When I run the script from within Wndows through cscript.exe it works out just fine but from the RunOnce entry... nothing happens... any1?

Is this registry hive locked at the logon sequence or?

The reg entry would be:

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\AutoConfigURL

isn't using group policy better ?

gpedit (Local computer policy -> user configuration -> internet explorer maintenance -> connection -> automatic Browser configuration)

did you use the full path to cscript in the registry ?
