tarquel Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 Hi allCannot download the xpcreate program (zip) from the website...or the IEPACK proggy. Its starts downloading but then cuts off after a little bit of downloading.XPCREATE stops d/l'ing at about 76k....IEPACK stops about the same place...Is there a prob with the server GM?Regards,Nath
GreenMachine Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 Apparently there is sometimes that problem. Reports are that using a download manager eliminates the error. It works fine for me at the moment. The servers are beyond my control, but they are never "down" too long.
tarquel Posted May 11, 2004 Author Posted May 11, 2004 Thanks for the quick reply GM (as always)Just tried again....no luck.Stopped at 93.7kAny alternative link? Need to make use it 2nite (if pos) :SI've only got a really old version (more than a month ago) ....ah.....no I don't - got rid of it when the new one 'started' downloading Regards,Nath
Alanoll Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 It's gone tomorrow morning (about 15 hours from now). Just so you can get it. That's enough time for people from England right?
GreenMachine Posted May 11, 2004 Posted May 11, 2004 Long enough for the Welsh, too! Gotta fix that server ...
tarquel Posted May 11, 2004 Author Posted May 11, 2004 yep...long enough for me Most grateful ladies heheRegards,N.
GreenMachine Posted May 13, 2004 Posted May 13, 2004 The problem is somewhere in the MSFN's server, but seems to work fine most of the time. I do not want to manage mirrors, or try to remember where my code is posted on the Internet, so for the time being this will remain the only downloadable copy. For the time being, I would like to ask that you don't post copies of XPCREATE, except as was done here: temporarily, and in an "emergency". Thanks!
Alanoll Posted May 13, 2004 Posted May 13, 2004 no prob.no point having multiple different versions up for people to get confused. Good thing you didn't update while he downloaded mine (In case anyone was looking for the link, I've already removed it, and the file on the server)
GreenMachine Posted May 14, 2004 Posted May 14, 2004 No worries. My days of frequent and numerous updatse are over!
