Daniel Lamarre
Hi there,I was wondering if there was any way to specify under which username you want to connect to a distant machine when using a Windows XP client, after being logged at least once on the same machine; The problem is if you log yourself once as Guest, then it will always try with Guest, as it grays out without being able to change username.See Username textbox is grayed out (Nom d'utilisateur in French)Windows 2000 always lets you enter a Username and Password, and I'd like to know how to do the same with XP.Thank you very much! ljones2
I think the following only works on xp pro.Go to Control Panel>Folder Options>View tab>Scroll all the way down and uncheck the Use simple file sharing box. Click ok. Now try connecting to the machine.Let me know if that works.
