spy sweeper any ideas how to automaticly install ?

i couldnt find any switches

and i dont want to wrap it in msi since every definition will cause the msi to repair itself

any ideas??????

What I do is install the program, set it up the way I want and then make an SFX file with WinRAR. And also export this key:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Webroot\SpySweeper]

If you don't have WinRAR you can just copy over the installation directory.

New to SFX in WinRaR. In SFX options there is the blank for the path. What do i put there to have it extract to Program files\webroot\spysweeper\ ? And then what about shortcuts?

u can probly find shortcut switches in the help file, or on the forum, /D comes 2 mind for desktop shortcut tho, i think i seen that posted here

i dont use winrar, so i cant say from personal experience

I opened the installer with winRar and there are about 27 files in there but the biggest is Masters.mst... is that some kind of transform file?? and a bunch of gifs and a few exes...

I've tried all the obvious command lines...

And I opend the installer in a text reader looking for some clues to the install prog developer... no dice

Does the MST file give any clues??

The masters.mst file has the spyware definitions. Much like Adaware's reflist.ref.

I have installed SpySweeper and made a SFX file and made a SpySweeper.reg that I exported from registry, but I am not sure where to go from here.

Can someone explain exactly how I would go about setting it up properly to auto install? Can this procedure (make SFX file and reg file) be used for any application to auto install?
