edomais Posted May 9, 2004 Share Posted May 9, 2004 Problem Unattended VIA 8237 Serial Ata DriverError message when load file viasraid.sys I am trying to install the Serial Ata driver Unattended in a mobo MSI KT6delta, as I put below: Open in Notepad file TXTSETUP.SIF into C:\XPSource\i386 ------------------------------- add the following line under [sourceDisksFiles] viasraid.sys = 1,,,,,,_x,4,1 add the following line under [HardwareIdsDatabase] PCI\VEN_1106&DEV_3149 = "viasraid" add the following line under [sCSI.Load] viasraid = viasraid.sys,4 add the following line under [sCSI] viasraid = "VIA Serial ATA RAID Controller(Windows XP)" ---------------------------- Structure of the Cd: |-&OEM& |xxxxx|-&1 |xxxxx|-Drivers |xxxxxxxx|-SATA |xxxxxxxxxx|-TXTSETUP.OEM |xxxxxxxxxx|-VT8237 |xxxxxxxxxx|-... |xxxxxxxxxx|-Winxp |xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx|-viasraid.sys |xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx|-viasraid.inf | |-DOCS |-I386 |xxx|-WINNT.SIF |xxx|-TXTSETUP.SIF |xxx|-viasraid.sys But when beginning to load the drivers after the boot, when the program will load the file viasraid.sys the program of installation of the windows aborts the installation saying that cannot load it. I already made several tests and I don't know because of that mistake. Does anybody know as adding in an installation Unattended Via it 8237 drivers? I already thank all for the collaboration!! RyanVM Posted May 10, 2004 Share Posted May 10, 2004 Try this line under [sourceDisksFiles]:viasraid.sys = 1,,,,,,4_,4,1,,,1,4Also, make sure you have the path to the driver defined in the OEMPnPDrivers key of winnt.sif.If all else fails, the pack I created (linked in my sig or the pinned thread) has support for that controller and automatically patches txtsetup.sif properly.
