I have a flash I want to put on my site but i have this software that tells me the loading time of each page and the site with flash it would take 4 mins and 5 sec. on dial-up. How can I cut down the loading time without cutting back on the flash?

Ok, go to File -> Publish Settings and do the following:

On the Flash tab:

Check "Omit trace actions"

Check "Compress movie"

Play around with the JPEG Quality. The lower you make it, the smaller the movie- but also the more distorted the picture will become. Find a good balance between quality and size.

If you have sounds, lower the bitrate to reduce size
