Problems with Custom UItheme and logonUI

Recommended Posts

I Have a Slipstreamed XP SP2rc1 unattended setup

Problem!

After removing UXtheme.dl_ and LogonUI.dl_ from the i386 folder

I use makecab.exe to recompress hacked files of UItheme.exe and LogonUI.exe then replace them in the i386 folder, burm CD, install XP, these files seem to returm to there original form. ie i cant install '.msstyle' themes and my logonUI returns to the blue welcome screen.

Any help please. :)

uitheme?

should be uxtheme.dll

also, if you don't use a properly cracked uxtheme.dll then it won't work.

as for the Welcome screen.....I never touched replacing the original. I always use a registry key to change it.

sorry about the spelling.

got the logonUI to work i think it was a fault on my part when burning the files

with UXTheme i need to bypass the window file protection on the setup cd to install this file any ideas anyone?

I'm after bypassing it during setup tho. not in windows.

I want to install the UXtheme from the cab file UXtheme.dl_ i have in my i386 folder but setup asks to retry or skip as it won't pass WFP :)

riiight....

and you didn't look at the site I gave you.

Hacked Files under Additions, and Disable WFP also under Aditions.

you're not reading.

and it's not that it isn't passing WFP, which isn't even enabled untill you to go GUIInstall (the blue background with the progress bar on the left, and little Windows tidbits in the middle). During txtmode (the dos looking screen) it's just checking checksums.

look at the pages I gave you, follow them TO THE LETTER and you won't have problems.
