Hi

Great site btw.

Erm... I'm kinda n00b at this, but I managed to create a answerfile that pretty much does what I want it todo except for å couple of things.

First:

When the installation of windows xp is close to an end, its stops and wants me to press OK on following message:

To improve the appearance of visual elements, Windows will automatically adjust your screen resolution.

Anything I can put in my sif file that answers this "question"?

Second:

After I've pressed OK on the screen resolution thingy, I end up to the place where he (windows) wants to spend a couple of minutes with me.... Which I need to press NEXT on btw. And the next thing is that windows wants me to create a user account. Any way I can get around this ?

Thnx

Do you have something like this in your WINNT.SIF file?

If not add it.

Change the resolution to suit your needs.

[Display]    BitsPerPel=32

    Xresolution=1024

    YResolution=768

    Vrefresh=75

For the second part i think that this will do it:

[GuiUnattended]OemSkipWelcome=1

Also you can automaticly add the user you wish.

Here is the link:

Autologon

Hope this helps!

Becareful with:

Vrefresh=75

Old monitors do not support an high hertz refresh rate. I suggest 60 hertz. You will not notice the difference. If it is set too high the monitor will not be viewable and setting it low will add life to your monitor.

Ranges:

56;60;75;85

Hi,

And the next thing is that windows wants me to create a user account.  Any way I can get around this ?

i think you have to add this to your Winnt.sif File :

under

[unattended]

UnattendSwitch=Yes

WaitForReboot=No

This should solve your Problem-
