Flashing the BIOS won't fix anything. Your hard drive's boot sector is infected.. so it seems.

What is a boot sector virus? A boot sector virus is one that infects the first sector, i.e. the boot sector, of a floppy disk or hard drive. Boot sector viruses can also infect the MBR. The first PC virus in the wild was Brain, a boot sector virus that exhibited stealth techniques to avoid detection. Brain also changed the volume label of the disk drive.

Follow the links and guides on these three pages.

it might also be bc of the bios.

there is an option in the bios for enabling "check boot sector" for virus thing

if u cannot get rid of the virus I think disabling that will work...

If you have access to another computer with let's say Windows XP on it, right click the floppy drive, select format, and select "System disk" or "MS-DOS boot disk", I can't remember what the option is called :) But it's an obvious one. That will allow you to boot into DOS.
