I installed to my System; installation went smoothly but when I try to play it, it doesn't do anything. I place the mouse over the Nascar Icon in my desktop and I doubleclick it the mouse arrow seem to be busy like when you double click any Icon but it doesn't do anything, the game does not start at all. IN case you wonder my system is a Soyo K7V Dragon, AMD Processor XP 1700+, Sound Blaster 5.1 Live!, ATI All in Wonder 128 Rage Pro. Two 20GB Maxtor Spanned and one 60GB Maxtor wich have three(3) partitions, Also a Toshiba DVD Rom and CD-RW Lite ON (Universal Bus Link)40x 12x 48x. A Teac Floopy Disk 3.5inch. A VIA VT6102 Rhine ll Fast Ethernet Adapter. I have Dual Boot with Windows XP Profesional and Windows Me. My system is very stable and is running at 1467 clock. Can any one knows what's going on with Nascar 2002 or my system. I still not be able to even get the game running. I will Appreciated any tips or help.
Flash Posted June 19, 2002 Posted June 19, 2002 Have you reinstalled the game?! If you have try this: 1. Uninstall every file (may need to delete some like player profiles). Then shut down comp, restart then do a fresh install. 2. Had any problems with games because of your dual boot? Try not booting up ME or XP whatever one and install then. Gl.
XPerties Posted June 20, 2002 Posted June 20, 2002 moved to correct sectionI have owned and played nascar heat, 2000, and 2002 and never experianced any promblems with XP. Now I do have a geforce card and have found certain drivers will allow me to up the viewing sections in the graphics options of the game. Also had a friend that would crash the game when trying to start it in XP. We messed around with the drivers and finially found some that support the frame rates nascar 2002 puts out.Best suggestion change your drivers around and see what works the best. If not lower all graphic controls in the game first then try to run a practice lap and see how you do.-XPerties
