How do you make certain icons disappear on the task bar on the bottom right hand corner near the clock? Now i got lots of icons on the bottom right hand corner near the clock.

goto start > settings > Taskbar and start menu and see the image for more details :)

And if there r programs you don't want on there, that u don't use just uninstall them or stop them fro running. DO a MSCONFIG and uncheck them.. that should free up some resources as well.

or you can check out these reg keys: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]

and

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]

delete the keys for the programs you don't want to run. of course, if you don't know what an item is, don't delete it just to be safe.
