Simply put, I wanted to know if there was any way of converting hex code settings in .reg files to a more understandable format, or at least "decode" (is that the right word?) them in some way or other? Cheery cheers.

Using a Hex editor would be one option i suppose. You can see the ascii representation on the right pane of most such editors!
