Bug report: Changing desktops on touchpad glitch

When using gestures to swap between desktops on a touchpad, it still swaps the windows shown on the taskbar to the other desktop's even if the gesture doesn't complete and I remain on the first one. I like to glance at my other desktops with the gesture without fully swapping, so it's annoying that I can't do so anymore without breaking what's displayed.

 

Note that I expect this started in an update in the last year or so, as my spare laptop I haven't touched/updated in a while didn't have the issue. It wasn't caused by the latest update, I just put off doing a bug report for a while.
